Winston Forestry Association begins 2022 with good news

Winston Forestry Association (WFA) had an awesome turnout for the opening 2022 program Thursday night!

We welcomed two new board members, Ms. Rhonda Schotts of Winston USDA/FSA, and the Deal Man himself Mr. Speedy Calvert of Winston Plywood.

We appreciate them for stepping up to help lead WFA for our county’s forest landowners.

Winton Cattlemen’s Association ends spring programming

Louisville Walmart supports MS 4-H

The Winston County Extension office established the state’s first 4-H kayaking and canoe club three years ago. Since the Winston club has been so successful, MSU 4-H administration gave their blessing on the development of a kayaking and canoe curriculum.

Winston Plywood, Extension, and MDWFP team up

Last Friday, Louisville Elementary school hosted a few local entities to show why natural resource stewardship is important. Not just important to mankind, but to all the woodland and wetlands creatures. This was a great opportunity for MSU Extension, MDWFP, and Winston Plywood to team up and tell that very important story.
