Livestock show

Caleb French, 8th grade student at Grace Christian School, participated in the livestock show at the Mississippi State Fair this past week. Caleb has worked diligently since Thursday transporting his animals to the state fair, caring for them, and showcasing them all weekend.

Storytime features ‘Biscuit’s Halloween’

Children were greeted by Webster County Library’s automated pumpkin boy on Oct. 9. They loved making the “boy” talk and dance.

During storytime, Ms. Anita led everyone in the “Hello Song” and “5 Little Pumpkins” before they took part in two activities, “Fishing” and “One Little, Two Little, 3 Little Pumpkins” with stick pumpkins.

Fortnightly Club meets

The Louisville Fortnightly Club officially began its 2019-2020 club year on September 19 at Lake Tia O'Kata. Hostesses were Mrs. Stanley Hathorn, Mrs. Wayne Gordon, and Mrs. Tommy Boydstun. Fourteen members and one guest were present. The room was decorated beautifully with Mrs. Rebecca Gravett's plants as well as fresh flowers on the tables.

Domino winners

In conjunction with the Noxapater Cotton Gin, a Domino Tournament was held. First Place Domino Winners were Bo Bo Doyle and Bostitch Moore of Noxapater. Second Place winners were Billy Earl and Wiggs Moorman of Houlka, MS.

Rotary hosts Nixon

The September 18 Louisville Rotary Club program was Paul Nixon, the Director of Athletics at East Central Community College in Decatur.  He gave an update on the all of the athletics at ECCC as well at the new athletic facility.

100 years

North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora Long Term Care residents helped Velma Tomlinson celebrate her 100th birthday on Sept. 28. She turned 100 on Sept. 30. Mrs. Tomlinson has three sons, Dennis, Willis Gene and the late Richard Tomlinson, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
