The Town of Weir Board of Aldermen meeting was a somber one as they remembered fellow longtime alderman Thomas Higgins, Sr. Higgins passed away on July 9, 2024 at his home. Mayor Glen Beard, Sr. said that Higgins would surely be missed by not only those on the board but in the town. “Thomas was a good man, a good man,” Beard said.
