City aldermen vote to auction former Garan lot

The Eupora Board of Aldermen has voted to put the former Garan Manufacturing property up for auction.

Earlier this year, in April, the board voted to lease or eventually allow the purchase of the nearly 11-acre city-owned lot at 66 Government Ave. However, no bids were received after advertisement.

Rotarians hear update on VFW Post 3806

Cmdr. Shannon Crow of Joe H. Morehead Post 3806, Veterans of Foreign Wars, gave an update on post activities at the Nov. 8 meeting of the Eupora Rotary Club.

“Our mission is to support veterans and promote patriotism,” said Crow, who also serves as district commander for the VFW.
