The Nanih Waiya Lady Warriors ran their record to 10-1 on the season with a trio of dominating wins last week.

Nanih Waiya opened the week with an 18-1 win over Kemper County and then took another 18-1 win over Philadelphia on Thursday. They finished the week with a 12-0 win over French Camp.

Noxapater takes three games on the diamond

The Noxapater Tigers got in three games last week and came away with one win.

The Tigers lost to Nanih Waiya 10-0 on Tuesday before falling 18-8 to Kemper County on Thursday. The Tigers bounced back and beat Kemper 10-7 on Friday as James Kugle struck out 17 Wildcats in the process.

Nanih Waiya baseball team kicked off season

The Nanih Waiya baseball team started the week off hot but finished cold.

The Warriors kicked off the week with a 10-0 win over rival Noxapater but dropped a pair to finish the week, losing to 6A Pearl 12-1 on Thursday and 16-4 to Class 5A West Point on Friday.

Noxapater softball team in action on the diamond

The Noxapater softball team got in plenty of action last week as they played five games, winning three of those contests.

The Lady Tigers opened the week with a 13-3 win over Starkville on Monday and then beat Louisville 12-2 on Tuesday.
