The Nanih Waiya softball team grabbed three wins last week, allowing just one run in three games.

Nanih Waiya opened the week with a 14-0 win over Philadelphia and then beat Sebastopol 4-0 on Thursday. The Lady Warriors finished the week with a 17-1 win over Winona to improve to 15-4 on the season.

Tigers ready for more play on the diamond

The Noxapater baseball team got in three games last week and struggled to get a win.

The Tigers were swept in division play by French Camp, falling 11-0 and 19-2 to the Panthers. The Tigers also dropped a 15-6 contest to Louisville.

The Nanih Waiya baseball team picked up two big wins this past week in division play.

The Warriors swept a pair of games from Kemper County, beating the Wildcats 16-1 on Monday and 12-0 on Friday. The Warriors ended the week with a 9-1 loss to Ethel.

Lady Warriors looking ahead with tough schedule

The Nanih Waiya Lady Warriors ran across some tough competition last week as they dropped two out of three games.

The Lady Warriors lost to defending 2A champion Lake 16-1 and then lost 16-0 to defending 4A champion Kosciusko on Saturday. Their only win was a 15-0 shutout of Winona on Friday.
