The second meeting of June for the Louisville Board of Aldermen was held on Tuesday, June 18, in which the Aldermen dealt with several issues, the most significant of which was the acceptance of the resignation of Chief of Police, L.M. Claiborne. Claiborne will be retiring from the position at the end of June.

Louisville Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 232 Northwood Drive in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 12.

Fire Chief Johnnie Haynes stated that the called was toned out at around 4:50 a.m. The home was fully involved when LFD responders arrived on scene.
