At the September 5 Board of Aldermen meeting, the city passed a new ordinance regarding the Animal Shelter. At the beginning of the new fiscal year, adoption fees at the Louisville Animal Shelter will increase from $20 to $40. This decision was made after reviewing adoption fees in nearby towns, including Starkville and Kosciusko.
