WLCTC charters Key Club, installs officers

Realizing that students need the opportunity to gather community service hours for scholarships and the like, the Winston/Louisville Career Tech Center chartered a local Key Club. The organization is based on “leadership, character building, caring and inclusiveness.” It is being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

Black History month exhibit features area artists

On Saturday, February 24, the Winston County Library was packed with locals viewing the colorful exhibits there. The exhibits featured quilts, story boards, books and more that tell the story of Black History – from locally here in Mississippi to the Underground Railroad and the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
