The Noxapater boys and girls basketball teams return to play at home on Thursday night when MHSAA Class 4A foe Kosciusko High School pays a visit at 6 p.m. On Saturday the Tigers and Lady Tigers travel to Union for contests beginning at 2 p.m.
Last week saw the Noxapater boys and girls teams drop a pair of games in the Sebastopol Tournament. On Thursday the Tigers fell to the host team 55-36, while the girls were defeated 45-16.
Kyle Phillips scored 13 and Ryan Whitfield 11 for the Tigers, while Kaylan Brown had six and Rayvyn Wagner four for the Lady Tigers.
The Noxapater boys played Ethel tough on Saturday night, before eventually falling 69-64. Four Tigers scored in double figures in the game led by Phillips with 14 and Whitfield 13. James Kugle added 12 for Noxapater, while K.D. Carter scored 10.
The Lady Tigers lost 65-36. Morgan Duran led Noxapater with nine points, while Wagner had eight and Jenna Wilkes and Dakiya Hathorn scored six each
