The Noxapater girls basketball team picked up a convincing 51-35 win over Clarkdale last week, while the boys — playing shorthanded until the football season concludes — dropped a 76-27 decision.
“I think overall the girls played really well and showed a lot of confidence,” Hickman said. “They are looking pretty solid Playing a home game kind of boosted them.”
The Lady Tigers, now 1-4 on the season, were led by Morgan Duran with 14 points and Asia Glass with 13. Rayvyn Wagner added eight points and Jenna Wilkes seven for the winners.
Dorian Moore scored 12 points for the Noxapater boys against Clarkdale, while Bryan Glass had seven.
Next up for Noxapater is the Sebastopol Tournament set for Dec. 5-7.
