While the high school football season may still be a couple months away, the Winston County Journal will begin its coverage of the 2019 season next week as the first member Journal’s ‘Eleven To Watch’ is unveiled.
Coaches from Louisville, Nanih Waiya, Noxapater, and Winston Academy all nominated players for the elite preseason team. Sports writers Robbie Robertson and Austin Bishop reviewed the nominations and chose the players who will be honored.
They will be unveiled, in no particular order, on a weekly basis beginning with the June 5 edition of the paper.
The idea behind this series of in-depth articles on the local student-athletes is to give football fans in the Winston County Journal’s readership area an idea what players to be on the lookout for in 2019.
