The defending MHSAA Class 4A State Champion Louisville High School Wildcats are scheduled to close out this weekends 2019 Starkville High School Spring Jamboree when they take on Lanier at 7 p.m. on Friday.
It will the be the seventh game of the weekend for the jamboree and the fifth of the day.
LHS, under first-year head coach Tyrone Shorter, finished a 15-1 2-18 season by winning the schools ninth state championship with a dramatic 25-20 win over Poplarville.
Each "game" is made up of three quarters of varsity action followed by a 20-minute junior variety match-up played with a running clock.
Admission is $5 for all games.
Saturdays action begins at 11 a.m. with Gentry facing Shannon, following by a 1 p.m. contest between Kosciusko and Cleveland Central. The 3 p.m. contest features Choctaw County vs. New Hope, followed by Noxubee County and Kemper County at 5 p.m.
Friday features two games with Neshoba Central taking on Itawamba AHS at 5:30 p.m. followed by a 7:30 p.m. contest between Starkville and Greenwood.
