French Camp gets feet on football field

The French Camp Panthers finally got to open the regular season last week against Eupora.

French Camp outgained the Eupora but an early turnover doomed the Panthers as the Eagles took a 21-12 win.

The Panthers are now 0-1 on the season and will host Starkville Academy on Friday night.

Nanih Waiya football able to hold scrimmage against EW

After starting and restarting the football season, Nanih Waiya finally got the football season kicked off last week.

The Warriors travel to East Webster and fell 13-7 in a two-quarter jamboree with the Wolverines.

Coach James Courtney said he saw some good things but was just glad to line up against a different opponent.

Lady Eagles continue to dominate across the county

Last Weekend the Grace Christian Lady Eagles participated in the Winston County Classic tournament, winning first place.

The Lady Eagles first defeated the Lady Warriors of Nanih Waiya and then later defeated Winston Academy twice to win the tournament.

The Lady Eagles only lost one set throughout the tournament.
