Grain bin workshop set for Eupora

Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation and the Calhoun and Webster County Farm Bureaus are hosting a grain bin workshop for emergency responders, farmers and anyone working with grain bins.

The grain bin simulator and rescue training will be at 6 p.m. March 1 at the Eupora Civic Center, 2135 W. Roane Ave.

Local youth plays in All-Star Pro Bowl

Peyton Perkins of Eupora was selected to play in the James Davis Youth All-Star Pro Bowl in Jackson on Jan. 28-30.

He was a part of the 12U GTA Bulldogs of Starkville. The tournament consisted of elite players from all over the state. The 12U GTA Bulldogs won the tournament after a three-game winning streak.

Local artist releases record, ‘Rocking Horse’

Eupora resident Stephen Vaughan has released after 47 years a record, "Rocking Horse" by California English.

This was a demo recording written and sung by Vaughan and Steven Vaus to secure a publishing contract. Nothing became of the song until it was heard by and just released with Fervor Records.
