Tomnolen FD awarded 2 grants

The Tomnolen Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce it has been awarded two grants.

One was from the Firefighters Charitable Foundation and the other was a $300 grant from Harbor Freight. These funds will support the purchase of equipment (FCF) and hand tools (Harbor Freight) used in firefighting or rescue events.

Friends of Tomnolen VFD receives grant

Friends of Tomnolen Volunteer Fire Department, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is pleased to announce it has received a grant from the Walmart Community Grant Program.

These funds will be used to purchase much-needed fire department equipment for the Tomnolen Volunteer Fire Department!

Local teams play well in USTA state championships

The 2021 United States Tennis Association fall state championships were held Nov. 20-21 in the Jackson area. Webster County sent two teams this year to the event, both in the 18U division, plus two other county residents that played with other teams.
