The Winston Women Farm, Home, and Personal Defense Club sign up this Saturday is actually open to anyone. If you have an interest in learning how to keep yourself safe on the farm, at home or anywhere, this program is for you.
We’ll get you, or the whole family signed up this Saturday at 9:30am at the Winston Extension office. Actual lessons will start early next year, but at the sign up club volunteers will lay out the program’s goals and schedule for 2020. The club will meet bi-monthly on pre-determined dates at selected sites depending on club’s educational objective(s).
You’ll get a chance to learn personal defense using firearms, or hand-to-hand, as well how to keep your home safe from fire. There will also be hands on farm safety skill training throughout the year.
What do you think, Interested? Come out and meet the club volunteers including: Winston County Sheriff Department, Louisville City Police, Louisville Fire Department, National Wild Turkey Federation members, City of Louisville Public Safety, and MSU Extension staff.
Education and practice is the key to your Farm, Home, and Personal Defense or safety, and that is what you’ll get as a member of this club. There’s actually much more, but you’ll have to come this Saturday at the Winston Extension office at 9:30am to find out.
Hope see you Saturday!
