The Council House Restaurant, in French Camp, held its official grand opening this past Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony which was attended by a large crowd of Choctaw County residents. In recent months a large renovation project was undertaken, adding an outdoor eating area & outdoor fireplace, plus a large dining room with a fireplace surrounded by a sitting area.
The Council House is wholly owned by French Camp Academy and serves as a support ministry for the Academy, and according to Director of Operations, Gary Maze, it allows for real-world, hands-on training with students from FCA as they learn the responsibilities of having a job.
Council House Café is not open Sundays.
