Choctaw County School District Superintendent Glen Beard reports that the district is continuing their meal program, handing out breakfast and lunch to between 300 and 320 children a day, ages 0-18.
The meals are given out between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm at Weir Elementary School, French Camp Elementary School and Choctaw County High School.
The sites are manned by faculty members who have volunteered, and all use personal protective equipment.
Beard stated that the program is going well and acknowledged that it is important as many children receive two meals per day at the school.
The program is inline with the Mississippi Department of Education and USDA guidelines.
