The Choctaw County Board of Supervisors held their only meeting of April on Monday, April 1, in which they dealt with a number of routine matters.
The Board heard from the inventory clerk who stated that she needed additional training for some of her duties. The Board voted 5-0 to contact Diane Pyron to hire her for this additional training.
District 5 Supervisor, Eric Chambers made a motion to approve the airport insurance from EBCO in the amount of $1,513.00. The Board approved the measure unanimously.
A motion was made by Board President, Joey Stephenson to approve advertisement of the Soil Cement and the DBST Projects as submitted by the County Engineer, Marty Crowder to be opened May 13, 2019.
A motion was made by Chris McIntire to approve the Full and Final Release and Settlement Agreement between Ralph McKnight and Son Construction, Inc. and the Board of Supervisors in the amount of $8,370.49. The Board approved the measure unanimously.
In other action, the Board:
• Voted 5-0 to approve the March 2019 Ash Report and Jail Inspection.
• Voted 5-0 to approve the Solid Waste deletions adjustment and assessments.
• Voted 5-0 to approve travel for Constable Coleman to a meeting on April 26.
The next scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors is on Monday, May 6 at 9 a.m.
