The Choctaw Board of Supervisors dealt with a number of routine issues in their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 3.
The Board opened bids for road gravel and awarded the bid to Bacco of Columbus.
In other action, the Board:
•Voted 5-0 to approve the August jail inspection.
•Voted 5-0 to approve the Emergency Management Performance Grant.
•Voted 5-0 to approve the Solid Waste Assessments, Deletions and Adjustments.
•Voted 5-0 to recognize the Library Trustees budget request of $130K.
•Voted 5-0 to approve travel for the Circuit Clerk on September 12-13.
•Voted 5-0 to approve the emergency hiring of Payton Copley as a dispatcher/jailer at Choctaw Sheriff’s Office.
