During their meeting of Monday, December 9, the Choctaw County School Board honored the 2019-2020 Teachers of the Year and Paraprofessionals of the Year.
The Teachers of the Year are: Weir Elementary, Bill Snyder; Ackerman Elementary, Bethany Busby; French Camp Elementary, Jennifer Morgan; Choctaw County High School, Melissa Stevens; Choctaw County Career & Technical Center, Ashley Fondren; District Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Morgan.
Paraprofessionals of the Year are: Weir Elementary, Kay Townsend; Ackerman Elementary, Emily Trice; French Camp Elementary, Joy Trehern; Choctaw County High School, Sara Smith; Choctaw County Career & Technical Center, Jo Johnson; Paraprofessional of the Year, Jackey Miller of Choctaw County Transportation Dept. Other honorees were: Administrator of the Year, Ronda Huffman; and Bus Driver of the Year, Keith Cox.
In other action the Board dealt with a lengthy consent agenda and financial issues. All matters were passed unanimously.
The Choctaw County School Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
