The Winston 4-H Fishing Club had a great first outing for 2024, catching some bass and learning a lot from Mr. John Fair and 4-H volunteer Mr. Odie Keene about bass fishing. Not only did the group get some great fishing tips, but they also got a first-hand demonstration from Mr. Odie on how to use a fillet knife and how to fillet bass and bream.
Mr. Fair talked to the 4-Hers about water chemistry and the importance of maintaining a healthy fish population, and he also provided a fantastic pizza supper for the group. We appreciate the hospitality and, as always, the invitation to enjoy the beautiful family property of the Fair’s.
