Members of French Camp tennis look to state tourney

The French Camp Tennis team saw its season come to an end this past week with a tough loss to Tupelo Christian on Tuesday.

TCPS took a 4-3 win over the Panthers in the Class 1A-2A semifinals, ending French Camp’s season with an 11-2 record.

FCA Panthers take a pair of victories

The French Camp Panthers got in four games last week and came away with a pair of wins.

French Camp lost a tough 8-7 decision to Nanih Waiya on Monday and then lost 10-4 to East Webster. The Panthers then swept a pair of games from Leake County in division play, beating the Gators 20-0 and 19-0.

FCA tennis teams open playoffs

French Camp opened up the Class 1A/2A tennis playoffs last week with a tight 4-3 win over Belmont.

French Camp will return to play as they are scheduled to play Bruce on Monday.

In singles, Northwest Community College signee Grace Ann Wade lost 6-4, 6-1 on the girls side while Brennan McGlothin won 6-0, 6-0 on the boys side.
