The Noxapater basketball team picked up a much-needed sweep of Clarkdale last week.

The Lady Tigers began the night with a 34-28 win over the Lady Bulldogs and the Tigers finished it with a 48-35 win over the Bulldogs.

Rain not a problem for run-heavy, tough tackling Warriors

When heavy rain was in the forecast for Friday night, Nanih Waiya coach James Courtney wasn’t worried.

Courtney even took to Twitter reminding his fans that rain was a part of football and “if you play great defense and run the football you have a chance to win!”

Noxapater football coach Casey Orr was more than a little worried about Leake County.
In the end, he had very little reason to worry.
