Former educator pleads to statutory rape

A former assistant teacher at Eupora High School has pleaded guilty to statutory rape of a minor who was a student in her class.

Kayla M. Tindall of Eupora pleaded guilty to the felony charge on Jan. 10 at the Webster County Courthouse, Circuit Court records show.

Suit filed against county, city, others

A pretrial prisoner who alleges he was tased and attacked while in the Webster County Jail is seeking damages in a federal lawsuit.

The complaint was filed on behalf of Tyrese Deontrel Quinn in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen on Oct. 26. Quinn, now 23, is a resident of Ecru in Pontotoc County.

Mayor updates Eupora Rotary Club
