State Sen. Gary Jackson, R-French Camp, has announced he will be resigning at the end of the month after 17 years in office. He submitted his letter of resignation to Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann on Monday before announcing on the Senate floor that he will be retiring effective June 30.
