Tigers fall to Ethel in division sweep

The Noxapater Tigers had a tough week on the baseball diamond against division front-runner Ethel.

Ethel used some strong pitching and to shut down the Noxapater, taking a 15-0 win on Tuesday and a 12-0 win on Friday to sweep the season series.

Warriors take win over Kemper Academy, drop to Eupora

The Nanih Waiya baseball team lost two of three games this past week, including both division baseball games.

The Warriors lost 16-11 to Eupora on Tuesday and 8-4 to the Eagles on Thursday. The Warriors finished the week with a 15-5 run-rule win over Kemper Academy on Saturday.

Lady Warriors defeat Kemper Academy, Philadelphia

The Nanih Waiya softball team got two blow out wins this past week.

The Lady Warriors blanked Kemper County 18-0 and then beat Philadelphia 12-2 before the Lady Warriors fell 6-2 to Sebastopol.

Nanih Waiya moves to 9-9 on the season.

Lady Tigers swept McAdams, falls to Leake Central

The Noxapater Lady Tigers had busy week on the softball diamond.

The Lady Tigers lost 7-5 to division foe Ethel on Tuesday and then swept a doubleheader from McAdams on Thursday, winning 21-0 and 16-1. The Lady Tigers then finished with a tough 6-5 loss to Leake Central.

Noxapater improves to 8-5 on the season.
