Choctaw County residents that utilize Highway 9 for travel should prepare to detour on Tuesday, August 29th.
According to Mississippi Department of Transportation officials, Mississippi Lignite Mining Company will shut down Highway 9 for a few days to cross Highway 9 with a dragline.
