Goodin takes reigns at Cattlemen’s Association

A Winston County farmer has been inducted as the new president of the Winston County Cattlemen’s Association.

Brenda Goodin is the first woman president of the organization.

“I’m excited and nervous and ready to learn a lot,” said Goodin about her new role that she took up at the February 17 meeting.

Eupora boil-water notice lifted

The boil-water notice that the Eupora water system had been under has been lifted.

The notice was lifted Thursday after test results showed the water was safe to drink, according to city officials. The boil-water alert was issued March 25 following a break in the city’s main water line.
