Choctaw Chargers Baseball kicks off

After a week of practice and focus, the Choctaw Chargers played in the Louisville High School Classic on Feb. 12.

In Game 1, the Chargers beat Philadelphia, 5-2. Sophomore Hayden Tuck pitched 2 and 1/3 innings with 7 strikeouts. In game 2, the Chargers beat Noxapater 9-0. Freshman Peyton Thomas pitched a 3 inning win.

Smoking puts you at risk of heart disease

In 2020, more Mississippians died of heart disease than cancer and diabetes combined. Smoking, in any amount contributes to heart disease by making the blood sticky, which restricts the flow to and from your heart, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.
