Jake Kight shot 2-under par 34 for nine holes at the Louisville Country Club leading Nanih Waiya to victory over Choctaw County in a dual match. Nanih Waiya had a team score of 158 to 176 for Choctaw County.

Other golfers for Nanih Waiya were Cody Clark 40, Coley Taylor 41, Braxton Stokes 43 and Trey McMullan 54.

Grace Christian School had two easy wins last week, defeating Golden Triangle Home School 14-0 in three innings and New Summit of Jackson 16-0 in five innings. The Eagles received strong pitching performances in both games to improve to 3-2.

The Grace Christian baseball team had a bad week, totaling 15 errors in losses to Calhoun Academy 11-1 and French Camp 21-6.

The Eagles had four hits in each game. Alex Taylor had two hits and Kyle Borntrager drove in the Eagles' only run against Calhoun Academy. Borntgrager and Grant Bontrager had RBIs in the French Camp game.

Ross enjoys opportunity to coach all-stars

CLINTON – The season did not end for Kenyon Ross after he coached the Louisville girls basketball team to the MHSAA Class 4A state championship two weeks ago. He was chosen as one of the North team coaches in the first Mississippi Association of Coaches Girls All-Star Game for 4A/5A/6A schools last Saturday at Mississippi College.
