The rain was a welcomed sight last Friday night in Winston County but not on Patriot Field as the Winston Patriots undefeated season was washed away by the 5A Lamar Raiders from Meridian, 17-0.
Both teams slugged to a 0-0 halftime score, but some big plays in the second half gave the Raiders the victory.
