Coach Pat Byrd and his staff knew they would be facing a rebuilding year this season as they lost 19 seniors to graduation last year. But his Patriots regrouped, stepped to the plate, and knocked it out of the park as they strongly defeated the 5A Heritage Patriots on the road 35-6 to open up the season.
