A year ago, the American Legion Post 82 began their work to have a memorial plaza built next to the World War I and II monument at the courthouse.
They began to work, reaching out to Rep. Joey Hood and Senator Bart Williams, the Choctaw County Supervisors, and the Towns of Ackerman, Weir and French Camp.
