Mississippi Eye Care to expand into Ackerman

Smith’s roots bring him to Winston County as a trainer

Hillard Smith III never imagined once he left Winston County that he would ever return. He’s lived in both Louisville and Noxapater, and when he graduated, he began a journey at Mississippi State that would garner him a degree in Kinesiology.

Town of Noxapater updated on ice storm damage at meeting

At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Town of Noxapater Board of Aldermen, Mayor Sammy Carter shared with the aldermen damage that the town’s water system had sustained during the ice storm in mid-January. Carter shared that, on average, the daily amount of water used is about 170 gallons.
