Winston County Sherriff Department is raising money for drone

The Winston County Sheriff’s Department is raising money to purchase an all-weather drone. Investigator Scott Kohers Said the department began raising more to update their drone by word of mouth and Facebook.
He said the department has been raising money for three weeks and have almost reached its goal.

Chargers shut out Leflore County, continue in playoffs

The Chargers now have their eyes set on the Charleston High School Tigers in the third round of state football playoffs. The team shut out the Leflore County Tigers 33-0 in Itta Bena, ending the season of a team that was set to make another run toward the gold ball.
