Like many teams, the East Webster baseball team has fought the weather more than other teams.
The Wolverines finally got on the field on Friday and took their frustrations out on Falkner with an 18-2 win. Then on Saturday, the Wolverines split a pair of games at Choctaw County, falling 5-4 to the Chargers and beating Louisville 7-3.
East Webster is scheduled to host Hamilton on Tuesday and travel to Starkville on Thursday. Then on Friday, the Wolverines will travel to Gulf Shores, Ala., where they will take on Citronelle, Ala., in a 5 p.m. contest and then play Northview, Ala., on Saturday in a 1 p.m. contest.

Falkner 2
The Wolverines scored 13 runs in the first inning and cruised to a run-rule victory on Friday.
After scoring 13 in the first, East Webster scored three in the third and two in the fourth.
East Webster had 10 hits in the contest, led by Art Thompson who was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and three RBIs. Wes Silver was 2-for-3 with a double, triple, two runs scored and four RBIs. Sloan Hillhouse was 2-for-2 with two RBIs while J.T. Slay and Dalton Perrigin each drove in two runs. Walker Johnson scored three runs with two walks while Cameron Pilgrim had three walks and scored two runs. Jon Austin Roberts also scored two runs. Hillhouse and Pilgrim also stole two bases.
Four pitchers saw action as Gray McCarter got the start and pitched 1 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on two hits. Kainan Reed pitched 1 1/3 inning and struck out four. Jon Austin Roberts pitched 1 1/3 inning and struck out three while Ethan Roberts pitched the final inning and strong out three.

The Chargers took a one-run win, despite three hits and six errors in the contest.
After each team scored one in the first inning, East Webster scored two in the top of the third to go up 3-1. Choctaw County answered with three runs to take the lead back at 4-3. Choctaw added another run in the bottom of the fourth while East scored one in the top of the fifth.
East Webster had just five hits in the contest, led by Wes Silver who was 2-for-2 in the game. Jon Austin Roberts had an RBI-double and scored a run. Cameron Pilgrim had a single and scored a run while Art Thompson had East’s other hit. J.T. Slay and Gray McCarter each scored runs.
John Austin Roberts pitched 3 innings as he gave up four runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four. Kainan Reed pitched one inning and gave up one unearned run while striking out two. Walker Johnson pitched the final two innings and struck out five and walked two.

Louisville 3
The Wolverines scored four runs in the first inning and took a four-run win on Saturday.
After leading 4-1 after the first, East scored single runs in the second, third and sixth to go up 7-1. Louisville added two more runs in the seventh.
East Webster had six hits in the game as J.T. Slay had a big game, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Wes Silver and Art Thompson each had doubles and scored runs. Cameron Pilgrim scored two runs while Walker Johnson drove in two runs.
Gray McCarter got the start and pitched 3 innings, giving up one run on two hits. Kainan Reed pitched the next three innings, striking out five and walking three. Sloan Hillhouse pitched the last inning, giving up two runs on two hits and striking out three.
