Noxapater will take a full bus of runners to the South 1A track meet.
On the boys side, Noxapater had two relay teams finish first in their division as Lajonathan Young, Lapatrick Maul, KD Carter, and Dontavius Rush won the 4x100. Lapatrick Maul, Dontavius Rush, Bryan Glass, and Lajonathan Young won first in the boys 4x200.
Strongman Ryan Whitfield finished first in the shotput and the discus.
Also qualifying for South 1A was Bryan Glass who finished second in the long jump and Lajonathan Young who was third in the 100 meters while Conner Thrash was fourth in the 800 meters.
Three of Noxapater’s girls relay teams qualified for the South 1A meet as Destiny Moore, Kim Edwards, Adrianna Goss, and Jaliyah Murray qualified in the 4x100. Syria Harrison, Laney Boatner, Kaylan Brown and Katelyn Barnett qualified in the 4x200 while Madison Riggs, Addy Webb, Kaitlyn Sanborn and Laney Boatner qualified in the 4x400.
Also qualfiying for the South 1A meet was Morgan Hunter who was second in the shotput. Raleigh Parker was third in the 800 meters, Kim Edwards was third in the 100-meter hurdles and Lexi Thomas was third in the discus. Adrianna Goss was third in the long jump and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
The Class 1A South State meet will be held on Saturday, April 28 at Madison Central High School.
