The Noxapater boys and girls basketball teams are hoping to get Region 6-1A play started on a positive note this week as they were to host French Camp on Tuesday before visiting McAdams on Friday.
Those will be the first of 10 consecutive region contests for the Tigers and Lady Tigers, heading into the Region 6-1A Tournament set for mid-February.
Next week has Noxapater visiting Ethel on Tuesday, Jan. 14 before hosting Nanih Waiya on Friday, Jan. 17
The Tigers and Lady Tigers returned to action for 2020 on Friday, dropping games to visiting Pisgah. The girls lost 60-31, while the Tigers fell 71-36.
Morgan Duran scored nine points and Laney Boatner five for the Lady Tigers, while Kyle Phillips scored 11 to lead the Noxapater boys and Javion Eichelberger added eight.
