The Noxapater Tigers returned from the Christmas break and lost a pair of non-division games to Pisgah.
The Tigers dropped a 72-47 decision to Pisgah while the Lady Tigers fell 40-21.
Noxapater returns to action this week as they hosted Vardaman on Tuesday and will travel to West Lowndes. Both games are division contests.

The Dragons outscored the Tigers in every period as they took a 25-point win on Friday night.
Pisgah jumped out to a 17-8 led in the first period and outscored the Tigers 23-17 in the second to lead 40-25 at the half. The Dragons extended their lead in the second half as they outscored the Tigers 19-12 in the third and 13-10 in the fourth.
“I think if we come out and play, we could still end up second or third in the district,” Noxapater coach Jarrick Porter said. “That still sound pretty good at this point. If we play like we should, we have a chance to be in the mix. We are still the youngest team in the division. We just have to come out and play our game.”
Ryan Whitfield led the Tigers with 25 points while Jordan Wilson added nine points.

The Lady Dragons used a big second period as they look a 19-point win over the Lady Tigers.
Pisgah led 8-3 at the end of the first and then outscored the Lady Tigers 18-3 in the second to lead 24-6 at the half. Pisgah outscored Noxapater 9-4 in the third to leak 33-10 going into the fourth. Noxapater took the fourth period 11-7 for the final margin.
“We are still struggling,” Porter said. “We have missed a lot of open shots and layups. We have to learn how to make those shots. They are showing improvement. It may not show it, but they are learning to stay in control of the ball and not turn it over as much. We just have to keep our focus.”
Abria Lewis led the Lady Tigers with six points while Morgan Hunter added five points.
