The Tigers and Lady Tigers of Noxapater High School saw their 2019-20 basketball seasons come to a close last Tuesday night in the first round of the Region 5-1A Tournament.
Tuesday’s games were played at Ethel High School, after a leaking roof made it impossible to play at McAdams. Thursday’s semifinals and Friday’s championship games were played at McAdams as scheduled.
West Lowndes won both the boys and girls tourney titles, while Ethel took second in both.
The Noxapater girls fell to Ethel 53-20 in the opening round. Asia Glass led Noxapater with seven points, while Marley Joiner scored four.
In the boys game on Tuesday, French Camp took a 64-33 win. Kyle Phillips scored 16 and Javion Eichelberger eight for the Tigers.
