The East Webster Lady Wolverines picked up their first wins of the season last week.
After a 10-7 loss to Houston on Tuesday, the Lady Wolverines beat Bruce 10-3 on Thursday for their first win of the season. Then on Friday, the Lady Wolverines split a pair of games as they dropped a 5-4 decision to Amory and then beat Wheeler 11-2.
East Webster moves to 2-4 on the season and will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Vardaman and will host Caledonia on Friday at 4 p.m. and Houston at 5:30 p.m. in the East Webster Fast Pitch Tournament.

In an error-filled game, Houston scored late to take a three-run win over East Webster on Tuesday.
Houston opened the game with four runs in the first inning. East Webster answered with four runs in the top of the fourth and three in the top of the fifth. Houston scored two in the second, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.
East Webster had 10 hits in the contest as eight players had at least a hit. Jessica Davis was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Coy Jennings was 2-for-4 with one RBI. Emily Nason, Josie Reed and Sydney Dewberry each had singles and scored a run while Whitney Winter and Emma McKee also had singles.
Liz Massey got the start on the mound and pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up 10 runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three. Davis came in and pitched the final 2/3 of an inning.
East Webster 10,
Bruce 3
The Lady Wolverines built a six-run lead and limited the Lady Trojans to just one hit as they took a seven-run win on Thursday.
East scored two in the first and four in the second and led 6-0. They added two more in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and sixth. Bruce scored single runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings.
The Lady Wolverines had 13 hits in the contest but committed five errors. Leading East Webster at the plate was Mari-Todd Brown who was 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Coy Jennings was 3-for-4 with two RBIs while Curtlyn Blake was 2-for-5. Emily Nason also scored three runs while Josie Reed, Whitney Winter and Emma McKee each had singles and scored runs.
On the mound, Liz Massey was dominating as she gave up one hit, two walks and three unearned runs while striking out four.
Amory 5,

Four defensive errors came back to haunt East Webster as they dropped a one-run decision to Amory on Friday.
With the score tied at 2-2 after three innings, Amory scored three in the top of the fifth to go up 5-2. East scored two in the bottom of the frame to pull within one but fell short in a six-inning contest.
East Webster had seven hits in the contest, all being singles. Jessica Davis, Coy Jennings, Emily Nason and Curtlyn Blake all had singles and an RBI while Blake also scored two runs. Mari-Todd Brown, Josie Reed and Emma McKee had East’s other hits.
Jessica Davis was tagged with the loss as she gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out just one.

Wheeler 2
The Lady Wolverines banged out 14 hits as they hammered Wheeler in a run-rule contest on Friday.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, East scored four in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth.
East had 14 hits in the contest as Emily Nason had a big day, going 3-for-3 with a home run, double, two runs scored and four RBIs. Whitney Winte was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs while Curtlyn Blake, Jessica Davis and Sydney Dewberry were each 2-for-3. Keely McKnight also scored two runs.
