Louisville went 0-3 on the softball diamonds last week to drop to 1-10 on the season.
Louisville softball head coach Ron Swart early in the season said a key to a productive year was getting his players to buy into how talented he truly believes they really are, but at the halfway point of the season, Swart said he's still working on that aspect with them.
"We're kind of catching it right now," Swart said. "We lost a couple of players, and we just haven't gotten the buy-in like I wanted to. We're just not really bought into playing softball. We're fighting it and we're chasing it. We have the ability to be good, we just don't have the mentality right now to be good. It's kind of tough, but we're going to keep working at it and keep trying to figure it out."
Louisville faces New Hope Tuesday and Thursday before ended the week on Friday against East Webster.
