The Nanih Waiya Lady Warriors won two of three contests last week.
The Lady Warriors opened the week with a 9-4 win over French Camp and then beat Scott Central 4-3 on Saturday. The Lady Warriors finished out the week with a 5-2 loss to Morton on Saturday.
Nanih Waiya will return to action this week as they host Choctaw County on Tuesday and will play at Winona on Thursday. The Lady Warriors will host Louisville on Friday and play at Eupora on Monday, April 15 to finish out the regular season.
Nanih Waiya 9, French Camp 4
The Lady Warriors built and early lead and went on to take a five-run win over the Lady Panthers on Monday.
Nanih Waiya scored one in the first and second and two in the third to lead 4-0. French Camp bounced back with four in the top of the fourth before Nanih Waiya answered with four of their own in the bottom of the frame. The Lady Warriors scored five in the bottom of the fifth for their final run.
The Lady Warriors outhit the Lady Panthers 13-8 in the contest as Harley Pullin was 3-for-3 with two RBIs while Kaylee Gregory was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Hanna Higginbotham was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three stolen bases while Morgan Mills and Dallyn Nance were each 2-for-4 with a triple and one run scored. Abby Lynch also walked twice while Jalia Cotton had two stolen bases.
Mills started in the circle and got the win, going all seven innings as gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out 15.
Nanih Waiya 4, Scott Central 3
The Lady Warriors built a 4-0 lead and held on to take a one-run win over the Lady Rebels on Saturday.
Nanih Waiya scored one in the first and three in the third. Scott Central scored all three of its runs in the sixth inning.
Nanih Waiya had three hits and six walks as Morgan Mills doubled and drove in three runs. Kaylee Gregory singled while Abby Lynch singled and scored a run.
Mills got the win in the circle, pitching all six innings, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five.
Morton 5, Nanih Waiya 2
The Lady Warriors had just two hits and dropped a three-run decision to the Lady Panthers in their second game of the day on Saturday.
Morton scored three in the first and two in the second while Nanih Waiya added two single runs in the third and fourth innings.
Dallyn Nance tripled and had an RBI for the Lady Warriors while Harley Pullin singled and scored a run.
Morgan Mills started in the circle and pitched four innings, giving up five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven.
