There’s a reason why Noxapater and Nanih Waiya is a rivalry game, no matter what sport the two schools play in.
Nanih Waiya avenged a run-rule loss to the Lady Tigers by taking an 8-5 win over the Lady Tigers last week in a key division game for both teams.
Thursday’s game at Ethel and Friday’s game at Eupora were both cancelled.
Noxapater, now 7-5-1, is scheduled to travel to Ray Brooks on Tuesday and to French Camp on Thursday. The Lady Tigers will finish up the regular season on Monday, April 16 as they travel to Starkville and will host Eupora on Tuesday, April 17 for Senior night.

The Lady Warriors built a big lead in the middle innings and held on to take a three-run win over the Lady Tigers to split the season series.
Noxapater holds the tiebreaker over the Lady Warriors as they took a 15-4 win on March 8.
After both teams scored one run in the first inning, Nanih Waiya scored three in the second inning to go up 4-1. Noxapater added a run in the third inning to cut the lead to 4-2 before Nanih Waiya scored two in the fourth and fifth innings to take an 8-2 lead. The Lady Tigers made it close as they scored three runs in the sixth inning.
Noxapater outhit Nanih Waiya 13-12 but eight walks hurt the Lady Tigers.
Nona Wilkes and Madelyn Wilkes were each 3-for-4 with one run scored while Yolanda Cooper and Kaitlyn Sanborn were each 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Morgan Duran had a double and scored one run while Lexi Thomas had a single and an RBI. Raleigh Parker added a double as well. Cooper had a triple in the contest while Madelyn Wilkes had a double.
Noxapater stole nine bases in the game as Madison Riggs, Sanborn, Nona Wilkes and Madelyn Wilkes each had two hits apiece.
Lexi Thomas got the start in the circle and pitched three innings as she gave up four runs on six hits and five walks while striking out four. Madelyn Wilkes pitched the final four innings, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six.
