With playoff position on the line, Eupora split a pair of baseball games with division-leading Bruce last week.
The Eagles grabbed a big 6-2 win over Bruce on Tuesday but lost the rematch on Thursday with a 7-3 setback.
Eupora, now 6-11 on the season, will return to action this week with a two-game series with Winona, traveling to the Tigers on Monday. The Eagles will travel to Starkville Academy on Thursday and host Winona on Friday in 2-2A action. The Eagles are now 2-4 in 2-2A play and situated in fourth in the division. Two wins over Winona would secure a playoff spot for the Eagles.

The Eagles used two big innings and took a four-run win on Tuesday against the Trojans.
With the score tied at 2-2 after the second inning Eupora scored three runs in the third inning to go up 5-2. The Eagles added one in the seventh for their final run.
Eupora had eight hits in the contest, led by Tanner Knight who was 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ash Dumas was 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Carter May scored two runs and had an RBI. Al Dumas also had a double. Knight also stole two bases.
Knight got the start on the mound and pitched a complete-game five-hitter as he gave up two unearned runs while striking out 13 and walking just four.

Bruce jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Trojans took advantage of five errors by the Eagles.
Bruce opened with five runs in the first inning and added single runs in the second, fourth and seventh inning. Eupora scored its three runs in the fifth inning.
Eupora had eight hits in the contest as Ian Garrard was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Zach Cooper was 2-for-3 and scored a run. Jacob Collum scored a run and had an RBI. Dustin Cabaniss also had two stolen bases.
Brett May got the start and pitched just 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs, four unearned on five hits and two walks. Cade Adkins pitched the final 5 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four.
