The Lady Tigers of Noxapater were looking for a little success this week as they continue a four-match homestand by hosting Kemper County on Tuesday and West Lowndes on Thursday.
The homestand began last Thursday with a four-set loss to Aberdeen and will conclude when Amory pays a visit on Sept. 17.
“I thought Thursday we played like I wanted us to play,” said Noxapater coach Pam Mills. “They played with a little fire and that was something different. They love playing at home. Last year we didn’t got to do that much.”
Noxapater opened last week with a 28-26, 25-15, 25-17 loss to homestanding Nanih Waiya. Lindsey Mills had three points, two digs, a spike and an ace in the match, while Jenna Wilkes had three digs and Nona Wilkes had a point and a spike. Madison Riggs had a spike, a block, and a dig.
