The French Camp softball team had two wins and a loss last week. The Lady Panthers defeated J.Z. George 22-0 and Noxapater 5-1, but were defeated by Sebastopol 15-3.
French Camp had 18 hits against J.Z. George in a game ended after three innings. Aubrey Burrell pitched hitless ball with eight strikeouts and contributed three hits to the attack. Brianna Grice had a double and two singles and Maci Grice and Abby Leathers two hits each.
French Camp scored two runs in the first, one in the third and two in the fourth against Noxapater. Leathers had four hits and coach Todd Chesser gave credit to Brianna Grice for key sacrifice bunts in the first and third innings.
Brianna Grice pitched the first six innings, allowing one run and five hits, with three strikeouts. Burrell finished up, surrendering one hit with one strikeout in the seventh.
In the loss to Sebastopol, Haleigh Outlaw had a triple and Kalee McDaniel two singles.
The Lady Panthers had a home game with Ethel Monday and will be on the road Thursday and Friday against Ray Brooks and Columbus.
