The Eupora Lady Eagles on got in one contest last week, dropping a 7-5 decision to Vardaman on Tuesday.
Their Friday game with Choctaw County was cancelled after a big Thursday rain.
Eupora will travel to Calhoun City on Monday in a makeup contest and then host East Webster on Tuesday in a key 2-2A contest. On Friday, the Lady Eagles will travel to Bruce.
Vardaman 7, Eupora 5
The Lady Rams scored first and was able to hold its lead to take a two-run win over the Lady Eagles on Tuesday.
Vardaman scored two in the first, one in the third and fourth and finished off with three in the fifth. Eupora scored one in the second, fourth and seventh and two in the fifth.
The Lady Eagles outhit the Lady Rams 8-7 but committed five errors. Kylie Richardson led Eupora at the plate, going 2-for-4 and scoring a run while Addison Mason was also 2-for-4. Haylee McCrory doubled and drove in two runs while Meleah Pogue singled, walked and scored two runs. Rylee Brooke Crowell also had two walks while Marleigh Abbott had an RBI single.
Harper Doggett pitched all seven innings and gave up seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two.
